I'm feeling really overwhelmed in my job search and could use some guidance. I'm 16, turning 17 in February, and I've been applying for jobs for a while now. Coming from a family of six, I've started to realize how tough things can be financially. My parents work hard, but I've seen them struggle with bills and loans, which motivates me to find a job to help out. However, I've faced over 20 rejections, and it's really taking a toll on my confidence. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong—maybe my resume needs work? I don't have much experience since I'm not very outgoing and haven't participated in many school activities. I know my mom says I don't need to find a job, but I want to contribute financially for things like clothes and personal care. If anyone has advice on how to improve my resume or tips for landing my first job, I would really appreciate it!

I recently applied for a job and missed a call from the hiring manager while I was taking a nap. After realizing I had missed the call, I promptly called back, but the manager was unavailable. I left a message for her to return my call. Now, three days have passed without any response, and I'm starting to worry if they are still considering me for the position. I wonder if it's common for hiring managers to call multiple candidates at once and then not follow up with everyone. I'm thinking about calling again, but I'm not sure if that would be appropriate. I really want this opportunity, so I'm considering reaching out every few days to check in.
