I've been unemployed for the past three months and the job search has been incredibly exhausting. As a 22-year-old fresher, I've applied to over 500 jobs and I'm feeling really frustrated with the process. I've been upskilling, tailoring my resume for each job description, and writing personalized cover letters for every application. I've also attended job fairs, but they usually tell me they're not hiring, and when I apply directly through company websites, I often face instant rejections or complete ghosting. Currently, I'm applying to about 5 to 10 jobs each day and I've started keeping a spreadsheet to track my applications. The search itself is draining, and the pressure from my parents asking, "when are you getting a job?" only adds to the stress. I know I'm young and this is just the beginning of my career, but after sending out so many applications, it's hard not to feel like there's something wrong with me. I'm curious to hear how others have dealt with similar situations.
