I had a frustrating experience recently while job hunting. I applied for a position that advertised a pay range of $28-$30 an hour with 55-60 hours a week, but it clearly stated there would be no overtime pay. Despite that, I was still interested and went through the process. The recruiter confirmed the pay range during our call and even scheduled me for a second interview with the hiring manager. However, during the interview, the first question the hiring manager asked was about the pay I had been told. I mentioned the $28-$30 range, and to my shock, he said it was actually only $17.50 an hour! I felt completely misled and frustrated. It’s infuriating how some companies operate, and I can't believe they would openly misrepresent the pay like that. I definitely feel like my time was wasted.
