I recently found myself in a tough situation at my job. I was placed on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) by my manager while I was actively applying for other positions during work hours. It felt really frustrating to be in that position, especially since I was trying to find a way out. To add to the stress, my manager ended up going to Hawaii shortly after putting me on the PIP. Ultimately, I decided to quit about six weeks later, especially after it became clear that my manager was pushing HR to fire me. It was a challenging experience, but I felt it was the best decision for my career.
