  1. 1

I've just experienced my second layoff this year, and I’m feeling overwhelmed. In January, I lost my HR job that paid around $75k due to my company being acquired, which led to significant layoffs. After that, I struggled to find a new position, despite making it to final interviews multiple times. Eventually, I secured another HR role, but it was a pay cut to $59k and fully remote. I thought this would be a stable place while I figured out whether to pivot into nursing. Tragically, my dad passed away last month, which forced me to drop out of my nursing classes. I was just trying to cope and thought having a job would help me grieve. However, I received a call from my manager this morning letting me know that my position was cut effective immediately. She had nice things to say about my work, but that doesn't change the situation. I’m exhausted and need time to process everything. I’m unsure whether to include this recent job on my resume or how to approach my job search in this tough market. Any advice on how to land something quickly would be greatly appreciated.
