I recently interviewed for a position that I felt I was very qualified for at a great company. The interview panel seemed to go well, and the hiring manager had previously expressed interest in me based on my experience. However, I've been waiting for two weeks without any updates. Just before the interview, I received a rejection letter, which I initially thought might have been sent in error since we had been trying to schedule the interview for over two months. The delay in scheduling was partly due to my salary expectations being higher than what they typically accommodate, but after some back and forth, they confirmed that they could meet my salary range. After that, it took another two weeks to finalize the interview schedule due to conflicts on the hiring manager's side. Now, I'm feeling really anxious because this job is in the perfect location for me, and I desperately want to leave my current job, which has been quite awful and far from my family. I'm starting to wonder if I've been rejected without being informed, given the amount of time that's passed since the interview.
