I recently started a job as an accountant at a government school, but it's been just three days and I haven't received my appointment letter yet. The previous employee's workload has left me in a situation where I'm not learning anything, and I'm unsure about what my role will entail. Meanwhile, I passed a writing exam for another position at a community college, and I have an interview scheduled for this coming Friday. I'm torn about whether to pursue this new opportunity. Both positions are temporary, but the community college role involves teaching at the bachelor level, while my current job is with a school that teaches up to 12th grade. The hiring process for the community college was slower due to the number of candidates, while my current position came together very quickly. I'm wondering if I should mention my current job in the interview on Friday, especially since it's a holiday and I can easily attend the interview. The environment at my current job is welcoming, and I feel appreciated, but if I were to get the new job and leave, would that be considered unethical? I want to make the right choice.
