I recently applied for a job that I really want at a local company. I even went in person to drop off my resume, which felt like a good move. After three days, I decided to follow up with a phone call. Unfortunately, I hit a few snags: one day the location was closed, and on another, the person I needed to speak with was off. The person I did talk to mentioned that the manager would get back to me in a day or two. I’m feeling a bit anxious about the wait. I don’t want to seem too pushy, but I also want to make sure they know I’m genuinely interested in the position. I’m considering my next steps for contacting them. I’ve read some advice suggesting I should wait at least 4-5 business days before reaching out again, which seems reasonable. If I don’t hear anything after a week, I might send a brief email to express my continued interest and ask about the timeline.
