I recently had an interview for a Chemical Engineering position that I felt went really well. During the interview, one of the panelists even said "wow" after I answered a question, which I took as a positive sign. They thanked me for preparing and seemed genuinely impressed with my background in education and experience. However, I'm feeling a bit anxious about the outcome because I realized I may not have tied all my qualifications back to the job description in my final statements. I was told I would hear back in a week, and I'm worried that this oversight might make me seem like a weaker candidate. Has anyone else experienced something similar where they thought they nailed the interview but still faced rejection? It’s a bit nerve-wracking.
