I recently received a final verbal warning at my job at a bank where I've been working for about 5 months. Initially, I was doing well, but a personal emergency two months ago affected my mental state, leading to several mistakes. I've forgotten to process transactions and shorted a member's account, though I managed to correct those errors. After two verbal warnings, I was given a final oral warning in writing that detailed my mistakes and the disciplinary actions taken. This is the first time I've faced such a situation; my previous job lasted four years without any write-ups. The warning has severely impacted my confidence, and I'm anxious about my future here, especially with talks of hiring someone new soon. I'm wondering if I should start job hunting or if I'm overreacting. I really want to keep this job, but the anxiety is overwhelming.
