I'm feeling pretty fed up with my current job at XYZ Corporation. As a marketing specialist, I find that I only need to put in about an hour and a half of actual work each day, while the rest of my time is consumed by picking up random tasks for others. I've started looking for new opportunities and have a few interviews lined up. Recently, I've been contemplating the idea of being very public about my job search while still at work. My disdain for my boss has me wondering what would happen if I just coasted through the day and openly looked for jobs. I mean, could I get fired for that? Part of me thinks it might not be the worst outcome since I’m ready to leave anyway. But I’ve also heard that being openly job hunting can lead to negative consequences, like getting a bad reference or even being terminated. I'm torn between wanting to express my dissatisfaction and the potential fallout from it.
