Cloud-Walking's journey

I feel like landing a job these days is akin to winning the lottery. It shouldn't be this way, but it really feels like something is fundamentally wrong in the job market right now. I used to work as a retail supervisor for a company that has always been stable and never laid off employees, even during the COVID pandemic when we were deemed an essential service. It's disheartening to see how companies treat their employees as disposable, and then they act surprised when trust is lost. For those who still have their full-time jobs, it's a wake-up call to realize that layoffs can happen to anyone.
