    Feeling Got a Job Thinking

    I recently transitioned from a Chase Associate Banker role, where I earned around $45,000, to a Capital One Commercial Trade Surveillance Associate position with a base salary of $102,000. This was a significant leap for me, especially since I only have about 1.5 years of work experience, primarily in retail, and I'm currently pursuing a finance degree after dropping out of high school. While I’m excited about the new opportunity, I can’t shake off the imposter syndrome. I’ve proven my capabilities to the hiring team, but I still feel like I don’t belong in this new environment. My previous job involved heavy customer interaction and was sales-focused, whereas my new role has no customer contact and allows for a hybrid work arrangement. I’m proud of my hard work and the progress I’ve made, but I’m also nervous about stepping into this new phase of my career. I’m reaching out to see how others have managed similar transitions when they felt out of place. Any advice would be appreciated!

    Feeling Planning Thinking

    I recently had an interview for a position in the city, but I've been struggling with the logistics of getting there due to my full-time job. I suggested an initial Zoom meeting with the hiring manager since traveling to the city is a significant commitment for me. However, after I brought it up, I haven't heard back from them, which has left me feeling anxious about whether my request was perceived negatively. I want to convey that I am fully committed to making the commute if I get the job, but I also don't want to come off as lazy or uninterested in the role. Has anyone else faced a similar situation? How did you handle it? I could really use some advice on how to navigate this without jeopardizing my chances.
