I recently had an intro phone call with a C-suite executive at an academic hospital system, where they are building a new data science team. During our conversation, he mentioned that there’s a hard-to-fill role that I could be a great fit for, but he didn't provide specific details about the position. He expressed that I align with what they are looking for and promised to follow up once he had more information about the timeline for the role. About a month later, I received an email from him saying that things are progressing, and he scheduled a virtual meeting with him and two other managers who I assume I would work closely with. However, I find myself in a challenging situation as there is no job description available, and I’m unsure how to prepare for the upcoming meeting. I only have the vague overview from our initial call to guide me. I’m reaching out for advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation. I want to make the most of this opportunity, but without a clear job description, I feel a bit lost. Any tips on how to effectively prepare for the interview would be greatly appreciated!
