I've been reflecting on the current job market and the hiring process lately. It feels like no matter how much effort I put into tailoring my resume, preparing for interviews, and researching the companies I apply to, I often end up with generic rejection emails or, worse, no response at all. It's incredibly frustrating because I rarely get feedback on what went wrong. Was it that another candidate had more qualifications? Did I fail to communicate my experience effectively? Or was it simply that the company had already decided on someone else before I even walked in? I get that recruiters are overwhelmed with applications, especially now when so many talented individuals are looking for work after layoffs from major companies. Still, I can't help but think that the hiring process could be improved to better assess candidates' actual skills rather than relying heavily on resumes and brief interviews. Has anyone else experienced being rejected from a role they felt genuinely qualified for? It seems like a common struggle in this saturated market.

I’ve been feeling like applying for jobs has turned into a full-time job itself. The whole process is incredibly exhausting. I find a position that seems like a good fit, then I spend time updating my resume and crafting a cover letter. After that, I fill out the same information I just included in my resume and finally hit submit. Then comes the waiting game. Sometimes I receive a rejection email, and other times I hear absolutely nothing back. It’s frustrating because I often have no clue what went wrong. Was my resume not strong enough? Did they find better candidates? Was there a specific skill I lacked? Or did they not even look at my application? I get that companies have to sift through a mountain of applications, so reviewing each one in detail is a challenge. But from my perspective as a job seeker, it feels like I’m constantly trying to refine my application without any real feedback on what needs improvement. For anyone else who’s been job hunting recently, what’s been the most frustrating part for you? Have you found anything that genuinely helped improve your results?
