I recently received a verbal offer from a new company and they asked me to complete a background check before finalizing the contract. However, I'm feeling uncertain about when to give my resignation notice to my current employer. If I resign before the background check is complete, there's a risk it could fail for some reason. On the flip side, if I wait until after the background check, my current employer might find out about my new offer during the process, which could lead to an uncomfortable situation since I've had a great experience here and want to maintain a good relationship. I'm looking for advice from anyone who has been in a similar situation. What would be the best course of action?
