I recently received a job offer from Company A for a position that only provides 5.5 hours of work per week, and they want me to start the induction process this Wednesday. However, I'm also waiting to hear back from Company B about a more promising role that has 16 contracted hours. They said I should know by early next week, likely Monday or Tuesday. I'm really anxious about the timing because I don't want to miss out on the opportunity with Company A while waiting for Company B's decision. I'm considering accepting the offer from Company A just to secure the induction spot, but I’m worried about the awkwardness of potentially backing out later if I get the job with Company B. It feels complicated, especially since I’d have to provide my bank details and everything. On top of that, I’m dealing with some confusion regarding my application with Company A. I accidentally created two careers accounts, and they offered me the job under the account where I haven’t had any interviews. I reached out to my recruiter to clarify my contracted hours since the job role changed, but she hasn’t responded. Now I’m thinking of emailing her again to apologize for my previous messages, which might not even be relevant anymore. I’m feeling overwhelmed with all this communication and decision-making, and I could really use some advice on how to navigate this situation.
