I'm an 18-year-old college student in the New Orleans area, and I've been struggling to find part-time work for the past two months. I've applied to over 60 jobs, mostly in customer service and some manual labor positions like housekeeping and janitorial work, but I haven't received any offers. I don't think I'm a bad candidate; I have three years of experience on my high school's tech team and over 100 hours of volunteer work. However, most of my applications go unanswered, and the few that do respond either reject me or inform me that the positions have been filled. I'm feeling really discouraged and am starting to lose hope. I'm just wondering if I should keep applying or if there's something I'm missing in this job search.
