I am 27 years old and have only worked for about 2.8 years in total. For the past two years, I've been unemployed, and I feel stuck in my current situation. I live in a rural area and have never learned to drive, which limits my job options even further. I also struggle with several mental health issues, including ADHD, autism, generalized anxiety disorder, and clinical depression. These conditions make it difficult for me to handle physically demanding jobs, such as trades, and I find it challenging to be around people due to my anxiety. Fast food and retail are out of the question for me as well. I've been searching for job opportunities daily on platforms like Indeed, but I often find that the positions available are either too overwhelming for me or require qualifications I don't have. I feel lost and wonder if there is any hope for me to find a job that I can manage. Some suggestions I received included looking into jobs that involve animals, like at an animal shelter or veterinary office, as they might offer a better balance for my social anxiety. I'm also considering getting my GED or HiSET online to improve my qualifications. I really hope to find a way forward.
