It's been a month since I was laid off from my role as a loan processor assistant, and I’m really struggling with the constant rejections I face while job hunting. I’ve spent countless hours tailoring my resume and applying to positions, but it feels like I'm hitting a wall. I try to keep my spirits up by going to the gym and keeping my home tidy, but the discouragement is overwhelming. I have about five years of experience in administration across various industries, but I'm feeling lost and frustrated. I want to move away from the mortgage industry because of its instability, but finding entry-level coordinator roles in real estate or banking seems impossible. Most listings require specific years of experience, and I’m not even sure I want to pivot into healthcare, law, engineering, or management—those fields just don't resonate with me. I excel at organization, communication, multitasking, and problem-solving, but I’m at a crossroads and unsure of how to proceed. The job market is tough right now, and I feel like I might have to consider a career change, but I really don’t want to go back to school for a master's degree. The rejections are taking a toll on my motivation, and I’m not sure what my next steps should be.

I recently experienced a mass layoff from my position as a loan processor assistant at a mortgage company, which was my favorite job so far. I enjoyed the problem-solving, communication, and organization required in that role. Prior to that, I worked as an events coordinator, front desk staff at hotels, a legal assistant for the court, and an admin assistant for a corporate company and a dealership. Now, at 26 years old and living in California, I'm feeling overwhelmed and hopeless about my career options. Many job postings seem to require extensive experience or a bachelor's degree, which I don't have. I'm struggling to figure out what alternative careers I can pursue, as I feel like I've tried so many different paths already. The stress and uncertainty about the future are really weighing on me.

I recently got laid off from my job as a loan processor assistant due to a mass layoff, and it's been incredibly stressful. I've been working full-time since I was 19, with experience as an admin assistant at a dealership, in corporate roles, and as a legal processing specialist for almost a year. I've also done sales and events at two hotels. Now, at 26, I feel completely lost about my career path. I've been applying to jobs that interest me, but I keep getting rejected. It feels like every posting has so many specific requirements, even though I know my skills are transferable and I'm a quick learner. I'm passionate about learning, staying organized, and ensuring things run smoothly, and I enjoy a mix of admin and physical work. However, I feel burnt out and hopeless about what career to pursue next. Any supportive advice would be greatly appreciated.

I recently experienced a layoff and it hit me hard emotionally. I always feel like a complete wreck during these times, and with the current state of the economy, my anxiety has only intensified. I'm trying to figure out how to cope with the uncertainty and stress that comes with job loss. It's frustrating to see comments suggesting I should just avoid getting laid off, as if that's a feasible solution. I'm considering whether I need to pivot to a more stable field to prevent this from happening again.
