Navigating a Toxic Work Environment: Seeking Guidance After Manager's Behavior

Today, I reached a breaking point at my job. I've been feeling targeted by my manager, who has suggested I either change companies or teams if I don't want to work in this toxic environment. It's been tough because I have no documented proof of this behavior, but I've noticed that he's given a coworker the green light to act aggressively towards me, making me seem like the cause of project delays. I've tried to keep my head down and focus on my work, but it's been overwhelming. After struggling with sleepless nights, I finally asked the CTO if I could change teams, and he said it was possible. I ended up taking a month-long sick leave because the stress was too much. Now, I'm at a crossroads. Should I report my manager and coworker's behavior to HR or the CTO, or should I stay silent and let them control the narrative? I'm worried they might convince the CTO that I'm the problem, even though that's not true. I’ve received advice that this is an HR issue but to wait until I have a backup plan. I’m considering looking for another job and leaving with a proper exit interview to explain the toxic environment. It’s a tough situation, and I’m not sure what the best course of action is.
