I just heard back from the Polk Museum in Columbia, TN about a part-time job offer. I currently live in Illinois, but I would be open to relocating for this opportunity at a Presidential site, which has been a dream of mine since I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in History. However, I have also applied to be a substitute teacher at two schools in Greene County, IL, and I'm torn between pursuing this job I really want and staying in Illinois for a position my family would prefer. Additionally, I have some volunteer work lined up at the Abraham Lincoln Museum in Springfield. I'm at a crossroads and really need to weigh my options carefully. Should I take the plunge and move for this job?

    Company: Polk Museum

    Job title: part-time job

I graduated from a small liberal arts college in May with a BA in History, and I'm currently struggling to find any employment. It's been a month since graduation, and despite applying for full-time, part-time, and even temporary positions, I've faced rejection after rejection. I'm based in West-Central Illinois and feel like I'm running out of options. My work experience is limited to a few tuition hours at a thrift store, janitorial work during breaks, and lot work at Home Depot. I'm starting to panic about my financial situation and the looming student loans. I'm really unsure about what steps to take next and feeling quite hopeless.
