Today, I took some time to reflect on my job search process and realized that before I jump into rewriting my resume again, I need to identify where things are going wrong. I've been applying to various roles, but I haven't been getting the results I hoped for. I noticed that I rarely receive interviews, which made me think about whether I'm meeting the central requirements for the roles I'm targeting. I plan to clarify my target role and ensure that my resume highlights my most relevant experience right at the top. I've also decided to replace generic responsibilities with specific evidence of my achievements. On the other hand, if I do manage to get interviews but no offers, I need to practice explaining my work more concisely and prepare solid examples that align with the core requirements of the positions. It's important to ask hiring managers about the skills they value most and to review my responses for any vagueness. If I make it to the final rounds, I understand that my resume might not be the main issue. Factors like competition and internal candidates could be influencing the outcomes. I’ve resolved to keep improving my approach without completely overhauling my strategy after each rejection. I realize that the stage at which my applications stop progressing is more telling than just the number of applications I submit.
