Feeling optimistic after a positive HR interview experience and next steps

I recently interviewed for an HR position after spending nearly two years in the field, following several years in fast food management. The interview process was quite interesting and gave me some hope about my candidacy. They scheduled a background check and drug screening before the interview, which I found unusual but also a positive sign that they were serious about moving forward quickly. During the interview, the conversation felt relatively informal, and I think I passed the vibe check well. We didn't just discuss the position; instead, we focused on what I would be doing and the potential for learning and advancement within the company, which made me feel valued as a candidate. The interview lasted about an hour, even though it was initially planned for just 45 minutes, which I took as a good sign. The interviewer mentioned that I would hear back by the end of this week, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about my chances.
