I recently reached out to the onboarding specialist for the position I accepted, as I hadn't received the background check form yet. I have my employee health appointment scheduled for Tuesday, so I was a bit concerned. The specialist mentioned they have some "due diligence" to complete before sending the form. I wasn't familiar with that term and it left me wondering what exactly it involves. The recruiter had previously told me the background check would cover criminal history and employment verification, which I have no issues with. I'm just trying to understand if they are simply entering my information into their system or if there's more to it that I wasn't informed about. It's a bit stressful since I'm in a tight spot with my job situation.
