I got fired from my job as a mobile developer three months ago after experiencing burnout. After 11 years in the tech industry, I finally have the opportunity to focus on my own projects full-time. Last week, I made $92.46 from my app, which I first published on Android about 8-9 years ago. I had abandoned it for a while because I lost interest in improving it, but recently I found the motivation to revamp it completely. I redesigned it using Claude Design and rewrote the entire app in Flutter with Claude Code. I have some savings that will allow me to survive for a year, and I'm dedicating this time to my projects. While the income from my app isn't as high as my previous salary, I'm enjoying my newfound freedom and the ability to work on something I'm passionate about. I feel happier and more fulfilled, and I'm not planning to look for another job anytime soon. I know many others are going through similar experiences in the tech industry, and I hope to connect with those who have similar stories.
