  1. 1

I recently found myself in a tough career situation after being laid off from my previous job in January 2026 due to the company's bankruptcy. I joined a new company about 2.5 months ago, and while I genuinely enjoy the work and the learning opportunities, I have some concerns about my manager's behavior. Initially, my manager was quite harsh, yelling during my first couple of weeks and later criticizing my prioritization skills. However, on the same day, I received a message praising my potential, which left me feeling confused and anxious. I applied for vacation well in advance for the end of August, and although my manager initially approved it, they later asked me to adjust my plans to accommodate a colleague's longer vacation. This feels unfair, especially since my vacation is much shorter. I'm currently on a limited contract, and I'm uncertain if it will transition into a full-time position. I received another job offer from CSC Generation, which comes with a 27% pay increase, but it includes a clause about tracking productivity through software, which makes me uneasy. Despite my concerns, I see potential in my current role and have been proactive in setting my own objectives and plans, which my manager seems to appreciate. I'm torn between staying in a role that I enjoy but feel uncertain about and pursuing a new opportunity that offers better pay but comes with its own set of worries. Should I stay and keep searching for other jobs or take the leap into the new position?
