I’ve also sensed a vibe from recruiters that suggests they prefer to initiate contact, making me feel unwelcome to follow up. This has led to a lot of anxiety on my part, and I find myself giving up on jobs if I feel like I have to chase after them for an update. It’s a tough job market, and I can’t be the only one feeling this way. I just wish there was a clearer communication channel, as the current system feels broken.
