I recently started working at a major lingerie and apparel store, but things took a turn when my store closed unexpectedly. The new manager was unaware of my transfer until after she had already created the work schedule, which means I'm going to lose about a week and a half of work. This situation is really stressing me out since I don't make enough as it is, and I'm wondering if I qualify for any unemployment benefits or what steps I can take to address this loss of hours. It's frustrating not to have been informed about this beforehand.
