I had an HR interview for a Medical Services Coordinator position last Friday morning, but it was oddly brief, lasting only about two minutes. The HR person asked me just a couple of questions, mainly about my background and whether I was okay with the pay range, which was confusing since the job description listed a specific salary instead of a range. Today, on a Sunday evening, I received a call from the HR representative, who I initially missed because I didn’t recognize the number. She called me back right away, explaining that she had been sick on Friday and was now eager to schedule my next interview for tomorrow, saying the hiring manager wanted to make a decision by Tuesday. She sent me the benefits package immediately after our call, which struck me as unusual since I haven't even received an official offer yet. What’s even stranger is that the follow-up interview invitation referred to the position as a Medical Receptionist, which is a downgrade from the original title I applied for. All of this feels rushed and a bit off. The quick timeline, the Sunday call, and the title change without explanation make me wonder if they are desperate to fill this role, especially considering some concerning information I found about their turnover rates and legal issues. I plan to go through with the interview as a way to gather more information and will definitely ask about the title change and what the actual responsibilities and pay will be. I’m not getting scam vibes, but the disorganization raises red flags for me about the company culture.
