I got fired today from my job at a dry cleaning place where I had been working for just a month while attending college. I'm 22 years old and was earning $9.50 an hour. It stings a bit, especially since I didn't receive any warnings about my performance before being let go. I guess I made too many mistakes, but it feels like a hit to my ego. I'm trying to stay positive and move forward, though. I've been reading some advice online about filing for unemployment since it seems like I was terminated without proper notice. I'm hoping to learn from this experience and find a better opportunity in the future.
