I recently got fired from a part-time job I held for two months, and the whole experience left me feeling furious and betrayed. I found the position through Indeed and was excited when they reached out for an interview. The interview went well, and I started my training shortly after. However, from day one, I sensed a toxic environment. My coworkers, particularly a group of girls, made it clear I wasn't welcome. Despite my efforts to be friendly—like buying donuts for the team—they treated me poorly, calling me names and spreading rumors about my work ethic. After a couple of shifts, my manager pulled me aside, citing complaints from these coworkers about my performance. I was shocked because I had been working hard and even suggested checking the security footage to prove my innocence, but he dismissed my concerns, saying he trusted the supervisors. Fast forward to my last day, I felt I had done everything right, but later that night, my manager texted me asking to talk. When we spoke the next morning, he told me I was 'not a good fit' and that they had 'voted me out.' I was speechless. A coworker who had become a friend later revealed that they had created a group chat from my first day, planning how to get rid of me. It was one of the most toxic experiences I've ever faced, but I've moved on and am now focused on my studies and finding a real career. I can't shake off the unfairness of it all, though. Has anyone else dealt with a similar situation? How did you cope?

I recently lost my part-time job because my employer said I "wasn't a good fit" with the team. It’s been tough to process everything. I genuinely tried to be kind and respectful to my coworkers, but I often felt like an outsider. Some of them seemed cold or rude for no reason, which made the work environment really uncomfortable. I was constantly worried about being judged or excluded, and that pressure affected my performance and confidence. When I was let go, it felt like my manager sided with my coworkers without giving me a fair chance to explain my side. I left feeling rejected despite my efforts to be friendly. It's a strange mix of relief and hurt—relieved to be out of a toxic environment, but still hurt by the rejection. Has anyone else gone through something similar? How did you rebuild your confidence after such an experience?
