However, each time I get feedback, the employers mention they want to fill the position quickly, which is frustrating since I've communicated that I can start three weeks after receiving an offer. One company even scheduled an in-person interview but only provided one date, which makes it hard to justify the travel costs for a job that isn't guaranteed. I'm wondering if anyone has tips for successfully landing a job out of state. My cover letter states that I'm relocating to the city to be closer to family, but I'm considering whether I should change that approach or even imply that I already live there.
