I recently graduated with an accounting degree but have found the job market to be quite discouraging, and honestly, I'm not passionate about pursuing a career in accounting. I'm in my late 20s and have been chronically unemployed, which has been tough. However, I've come across an opportunity to learn tailoring and alterations from a local tailor, starting from scratch. I'm excited about this because I enjoy working with my hands and creating things. Plus, I believe tailoring is a skill that is less likely to be replaced by AI. I'm looking for some insights on what kind of job prospects exist in this field, especially since I haven't attended fashion school or anything similar. Can I realistically make a living as a tailor? What career paths are available for someone with sewing skills? I'm a bit apprehensive about whether committing to this path would be a mistake.
