It's been a month since I was laid off from my role at a tech company where I worked for over a decade. Since then, I've only heard from one former coworker, and they weren't even on my team. I was hoping to get some LinkedIn recommendations from my colleagues, but I'm hesitant to reach out and ask for them. I did try contacting my manager for support, but I was disappointed when I didn't receive a response. It feels isolating, and I'm starting to realize that the connections I thought I had may not be as strong as I believed.
