I'm currently at a crossroads in my career and could really use some advice. I work full-time from home in a job that pays well and has its perks, like no commute and the ability to manage my home responsibilities. However, the stress has been mounting. My days are filled with calls, and there's constant pressure to meet performance metrics. Even though I generally perform well, the feeling of being monitored is exhausting. My schedule often has me working late into the night, which leaves me drained and unmotivated on my days off. Recently, I decided to explore other options and applied to a couple of clinic jobs. I've received offers for two part-time positions that actually align with my interests and allow for face-to-face interaction with patients and coworkers. I believe I would enjoy this kind of work much more and it would help me regain a healthier routine. However, I'm hesitant to leave my stable full-time WFH job for two part-time roles. On one hand, the WFH position offers better income and job security, but it comes with significant stress and isolation. On the other hand, the clinic jobs would provide a more fulfilling day-to-day experience, but they lack the security and benefits of a full-time position. I'm really torn because while the WFH job looks better on paper, the clinic jobs seem to offer the lifestyle I desire. Is it normal to consider two part-time jobs for happiness over one full-time job that seems 'smarter' financially? I'd love to hear what others would do in my situation, especially those who have made similar choices.
