Today, I discovered that my company has posted a job listing for my position as an office administrator. I've been working here for about 7 months in a small company with around 15 employees. While answering the phone, I spoke to a candidate who applied for my role and realized that they had posted the job listing just 8 days ago. This has left me feeling anxious and confused. Despite receiving praise from my boss and even a raise two months ago, I can't shake the feeling of uncertainty. I’ve worked hard to fix problems and contribute positively to the company, so this news feels blindsiding. I know they don’t really need another person in my position due to the size of the company. I'm considering whether I should address this directly with my manager, especially since the owners are returning from vacation tomorrow. I feel like I need clarity on the situation, but I'm also nervous about how to approach the conversation. Any advice on how to handle this would be greatly appreciated.
