I've been applying for jobs since January and I'm starting to lose hope. At 30 years old, I didn't begin my college journey until I was 27. Before that, I had a solid career in aviation, working with the military and Gulfstream for about eight years. I loved my job and gained a lot of experience. After deciding to pursue a management degree in aerospace, I graduated but have struggled to find any job since then. Initially, I focused on management positions, but I received no responses. I then tried to return to my roots and apply for entry-level roles in aviation, only to be turned away because of a perceived gap in my work history. Employers seemed indifferent to the fact that I was in school during that time. After months of applying to countless jobs across various fields, I even resorted to looking for part-time work in fast food and grocery stores, just to earn some money. Unfortunately, I haven't heard back from those applications either. It's hard to believe how drastically things have changed; before college, I had job offers coming in left and right. Now, it feels like a ghost town, and I'm on the verge of being homeless. I'm feeling lost and unsure of what to do next.
