I am currently working in a toxic environment at my job, where I've been feeling increasingly unwelcome due to my manager's constant criticism. It's become unbearable, and I've been actively searching for a new position. I recently received a verbal job offer and am expecting the written offer next week, with a start date set for November 16. However, I've learned that my current employer is planning to put me on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) as early as Monday. I'm contemplating whether to submit a two-week notice on November 2 or to skip it altogether. I want to maximize my salary and insurance coverage for as long as possible, but I'm also aware that they might terminate me immediately if I do submit the notice. I'm torn between wanting to leave gracefully and the reality of the situation.
