  1. 1

I've been through two layoffs in just seven years of working, and it's been incredibly tough. Both layoffs came from different companies, and it really makes me question the idea that getting a degree and working in a big corporation is a safe path. I took on a significant amount of debt for my college education, and now I feel like I'm fighting for my survival. I've always been a hustler, even at times when my bank account was in the negatives just to afford basic meals. During college, I worked every weekend while managing a full-time course load, and now I’m just trying to make it in this challenging economy. I live modestly, spending less than $2,000 a month, but it's hard to see a way forward. The hope I once had feels fake, and I'm reaching out to see if anyone else in this community has found ways to secure their income during these uncertain times. What strategies are you using to stay afloat? It feels like the future is pretty dim right now.
