I recently interviewed for a new role at a major fashion company, where the salary is between $55K and $80K. Currently, I work in production at my current company making around $57K, but I've hit a professional dead end and find my work environment quite unstimulating, especially with a coworker who is difficult to deal with. During the interview, the manager was brutally honest about the position. They mentioned there would be no training provided, that titles don’t matter, and that I could expect to leave by 6 PM every day. The role is fully in-office, unlike my current hybrid schedule, which has me a bit concerned since I value that flexibility. Despite these red flags, the job sounds like it could be more hands-on and demanding, which might be just what I need to shake things up. The salary increase is also a big draw, and I think I could always leave if it turns out to be a bad fit. However, I'm hesitant to give up the stability I currently have for what could be a toxic work environment. I’ve been contemplating whether the potential for growth and the financial benefits outweigh the risks involved. I’m at a point in my life where taking chances could lead to significant personal and professional growth, but I also want to be cautious about making such a big change.
