I recently received a job offer and signed the offer letter. The recruiter mentioned that someone would contact me to arrange my drug screening and background check, but it's now Wednesday and I haven't heard anything since Monday. I'm starting to feel anxious about whether I'm being ghosted. I reached out to the recruiter this morning to ask for a timeframe on when I might hear back, but no response yet. My start date is set for the first week of August, but I'm hesitant to resign from my current job until everything is confirmed and ready to go.
