I am preparing to submit my two-week notice at my current job, where I have spent over 14 years. This company gave me my first opportunity right after high school, and I've worked my way up to a team leadership role through promotions and hard work. However, I’ve felt burned out and overlooked for new roles lately, which has led me to start job searching about eight months ago. I recently accepted a new position that offers a nice pay increase, pension, and benefits, which is a relief after feeling stuck. As I get ready to make this big change, I’m feeling a mix of excitement and anxiety since this is the only job I’ve ever had. I want to handle my resignation professionally, but I’m unsure about how to approach it. I don’t want to disclose where I’m going, and while I appreciate my time here, I am ready to move on for the sake of my family and myself. I would really appreciate any advice on how to put in my notice gracefully and any encouragement as I embark on this new chapter.
