I recently landed a job at a tech company after a long year of searching. Months ago, I was thrilled when I finally got hired at a fast food restaurant, feeling proud and confident for the first time in a while. I even made budget plans for my salary. Unfortunately, just two weeks in, I was let go along with several others, which left me feeling crushed and questioning everything. Now, I've found a new opportunity, but I can't shake the fear that comes with it. I'm anxious about whether I can perform well and if they'll let me go again. I've spent my entire career in restaurants, mastering every task, but this new role is completely different and outside my comfort zone. While I'm excited about the chance to learn and grow, the fear of failure looms large. I just hope I can prove to myself that I deserve this new position.
