I recently started an internship at a well-established store where my dad works. The store primarily operates online but has a physical location that sees occasional foot traffic. Currently, my dad is the only employee, and the owner and his wife step in when he’s on vacation. Since I’m unemployed and on welfare, I’m getting a small stipend for my internship, which is why I jumped at the chance to work there. I’ve noticed that the store's website and sales floor are not optimized at all, so I’ve taken the initiative to propose rebuilding the website and reorganizing the sales area to improve customer experience and boost sales. My goal is to create value that would make it justifiable for them to hire me permanently. I’m reaching out to see if anyone has suggestions or ideas on how I can make a strong case for my employment at this store, especially since they currently only need one worker. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
