I started a temp-to-hire job through a staffing agency about a week ago, but it turned out to be nothing like what they described. Fortunately, I just received a full-time job offer that is closer to home and offers better pay. I'm wondering if I need to formally put in a notice for the temp job, or if I can simply call the agency to end the assignment. I've heard that it's common for temp jobs to end early, so I'm leaning towards just calling them and letting them know about my new opportunity.
