I just received a rejection email from a job I applied to over a year ago, and I can't believe it. Last spring and summer, I applied to over 100 positions after recovering from a serious illness that forced me to drop out of college. It took me more than two months to land my current job at a grocery store. Out of all those applications, I never heard back from at least 70% of them. I faced around 30 rejections, went through 15 interviews, and only received 1 job offer. Now, after 14 months of silence, I get this email. The job market in the US is really frustrating right now.
