I'm feeling completely overwhelmed by the sheer volume of job applications required for every role I apply for. It seems like every position, regardless of the company size or industry, demands a lengthy application process. Gone are the days of just uploading a resume and cover letter; now I face multiple-page questionnaires, custom essays on why I want to work there, situational judgment tests, and sometimes even pre-recorded video interviews before I even get to speak with a human. This week alone, I've spent hours applying to just a handful of roles, and it feels like applying for jobs has become a full-time job in itself. I'm starting to wonder if companies are intentionally trying to filter out less dedicated applicants or if this is just the new normal. I'm looking for tips on how to streamline the process without sacrificing the quality of my applications.
