I recently received a job offer through Teksystems, but my start date has been pushed back unexpectedly. I completed all the necessary steps on my end, including submitting proof of employment like paystubs and awards, filling out onboarding forms on time, and finishing my training course a week before the planned start date. However, I was informed that I wasn't 'cleared' to join the orientation, which was surprising. They mentioned that many candidates are facing similar issues with clearance. I also had to fill out my W-4 and direct deposit information again, which felt odd. Despite this setback, I received an invitation for an orientation onboarding Zoom call next week from the client. I'm unsure whether I should attend the orientation or if I should be concerned about the delay in my start date. It's quite stressful!
