I have a job interview this Thursday for a paraprofessional position at a special education school. I attended a job fair last week and connected with some staff from the school, who were impressed with my resume and offered me the interview. I'm feeling a mix of excitement and nerves since I don't know much about the role yet, but I'm eager to leave my current job. I've started researching the school and the responsibilities of a paraprofessional. If anyone has tips or experiences to share about working in this role, I would greatly appreciate it!

I attended a job fair today for the first time, and I was really anxious about it. I wasn't sure what to expect and felt overwhelmed by the idea of presenting myself to potential employers. My anxiety often gets the best of me, especially in crowded environments, which made me worry about how I would handle the noise and the pressure. I was looking for advice on how to stand out and make a good impression despite my nerves. I wanted to know if there were specific strategies or tips that could help me navigate the event and feel more confident.

I’ve reached a breaking point at my job after nearly 9 years. I used to be fully invested, but a series of negative experiences including sexual harassment, racism, and a toxic work environment have completely drained my motivation. I've only received two raises during my time here, and I’m now making the same salary as new hires. The lack of appreciation and the humiliation tactics from my boss have made it unbearable. I find myself sitting in my car for hours after breaks, dreading going inside. I’ve started to half-ass my work and call off frequently because I just don’t care anymore. The only thing keeping me here is the insurance and the fact that I’m not micromanaged. It feels like something inside me has broken, and I’m seriously considering a change, but the job market seems tough right now.
